Tone And Function Clinic
Abnormal muscle tone is a common issue in neurological conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and spinal cord injury. Neuro Alliance offers a monthly Tone and Function Clinic held by Rehabilitation Specialist Dr Rosyln Mozer.
Dr Mozer conducts assessments and provides treatment from her clinic room focusing on addressing these tone-related challenges to optimise mobility and functionality.
Our team of physiotherapists works closely with Dr Mozer to assist our clients to optimise their function even if they are experiencing issues with tone or spasticity. We employ evidence-based techniques, including stretching, splinting, and adaptive equipment recommendations, to manage tone-related issues, prevent soft tissue contracture, build strength, and improve overall function. In addition, Dr Mozer works alongside Neuro Orthotist Tim Nicholls and our team of therapists in the prescription of custom orthoses.
These are the cornerstones of our multi-disciplinary approach at Neuro Alliance, ensuring that individuals with neurological conditions receive the comprehensive care and support they deserve. Our team collaborates seamlessly to provide personalised and evidence-based care, allowing our clients to regain their mobility, independence, and confidence.
